Professional Learning Communities
Professional development in the area of Professional Learning Communities, providing teachers with structured time for reflection on classroom practices. Any proposal may advance the study of and reflection upon Common Core State Standards, the Tristate Rubric to analyze effective teaching and to determine rigor of teacher made materials, exploration of EngageNY materials, and development of parent resources and workshops. Groups of four or more educators will identify a common area of interest to study. Each group must meet for a minimum of 10 hours during the grant period.

Strengthening Our Learning Community
Any educator from the Adirondack Teacher Center catchment area may participate in this program that will support their efforts to further their own professional development, related to the NYS Common Core Learning Standards. Successful applicants will be able to participate in a staff development activity of their choice. Training funds will pay for registration, lodging, and travel expenses (to a maximum of $1,000).

Technology Integration Project Support
Educators from the Adirondack Teacher Center region will be awarded the opportunity to participate in a program giving them hardware and/or software of their choice (to a maximum of $600). An expectation accompanying this award will be the development and classroom implementation of a Learning Experience activity that utilizes this hardware/software. A caveat of the award is that the hardware/software will be on loan until submission of a lesson plan or unit that meets the Learning Experience Guidelines is submitted. Upon submission of an acceptable Learning Experience and completing the demonstration portion of the grant requirements, the hardware/software will be yours to keep for the duration of your employment within your respective district. At such time, the hardware/software becomes the property of the district. 

Deadline to apply: No Technology Applications will be awarded for the 2019-2020 school year.
