Getting Your "Hands-On" Hardware
Ten educators from the Adirondack Teacher Center region will be able to participate in a program giving them the chance to be awarded one article of hardware of their choice. An activity which utilizes this hardware will be designed for use in the classroom. The hardware is on loan until submission of a lesson plan or a unit that meets the Learning Experience Guidelines (see back). Upon submission of an acceptable Learning Experience, the hardware will be yours to keep for the duration of your employment within your respective district. At such time, the hardware becomes the property of the district.
Maximum Grant Amount: $400
Ten educators from the Adirondack Teacher Center region will be able to participate in a program giving them the chance to be awarded a computer software application of their choice. An activity which utilizes the software will be designed for use in the classroom. The software is on loan until submission of a lesson plan or a unit that meets the Learning Experience Guidelines (see back). Upon submission of an acceptable Learning Experience, the software will be yours to keep.
Maximum Grant Amount: $200
The Education & Training Consortium is sponsoring a mini-grant program to enable school district personnel to develop innovative projects and programs for school use. The focus of these projects, in relationship to school restructuring and reform and the education of students in the least restrictive environment, should be on meeting the needs of all students, including those with disabilities who receive all or a portion of their education in the general education setting.

Strengthening Our Learning Community
Any educator from the Adirondack Teacher Center catchment area may participate in this program which will support their efforts to further their own professional development. Successful applicants will be able to participate in a staff development activity of their choice. Grant funds will pay for registration, lodging, and travel expenses.
